Since there’s no need for a telephone line and the frequency range used is not regulated by the CRTC, usage, licensing, or equipment rental fees no longer apply. If necessary, repeaters may be powered by solar panels or a wind turbine, allowing autonomous stations even in areas normally considered inaccessible.
The signal intensity between networked sites is continuously monitored and is totally independent of climate variations.
All communication losses are immediately reported and generate alarms.
